Christian Adoptions has been informed that Adoption Services is accepting applications for Haiti and that files will proceed to Haiti as in the past. Applicants must expect two trips to Haiti, one for court, and one to accept placement. New requirements and changes in regulations are likely to be forwarded in the near future, but for now orphanages are accepting applications as in the past. At this time we assume time lines to be long, as in the past; children matched took more than 12 months to process and be allowed to come to Canada. |

Christian Adoptions wants to thank the Community Spirit Grant Funding for providing us with the funds to do many things this past year that would have been out of our reach without their financial support. Staff learned a great deal attending the Canadian Association of Pregnancy Support Services Conference and want to thank the Spirit Funding for this wonderful opportunity.
The goal of the Community Spirit Program is to increase individual charitable giving to help support Alberta's non-profit and charitable organizations, such as Christian Adoption Services. The program is donor-driven; it recognizes and encourages Albertans to support their favourite organizations. Donations received from Albertans stay here in Alberta to support Alberta-based non-profit and charitable organizations. To find out more about how the Community Spirit Program benefits our donors and our agency, please see their website www.communityspiritprogram.ca.
