Christian Adoption Services - About Us PDF Print E-mail

Christian Adoption Services is a non profit licensed adoption agency operating in the province of Alberta since 1989. We are licensed by the Government of Alberta under the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act (November 2004) to provide professional adoption services to residents of Alberta. Our office is located in Calgary. We have staff in Edmonton, Red Deer and Grande Prairie and provide services to families across the province, including (but not limited to) Grand Prairie, Fort McMurray, Airdire, Okotoks, Lethbridge, Brooks, Medicine Hat, Lacombe, Red Deer, Lloydminster, High Level, and Cold Lake.  Call us to inquire about your location.  All of our social work staff are required to be registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers.

Christian Adoption Services offers:

  1. Assistance to families who wish to make an adoption plan for their child.
  2. Open adoptions for Christian families who wish to adopt a baby. Birth families who come to our agency are looking to place their child in a Christian family, so we recommend that families who do not meet this criteria seek services from one of the other licensed agencies.
  3. Assistance for families who wish to adopt a child from another country. Families in our international program are not required to be of the Christian faith.
  4. Assistance with court documents for families who have had a child placed with them directly by the birth family.

Christian Adoption Services does not receive any government funding. The costs of our programs are covered by fees charged to adoptive families, fund-raising and donations. All services to families considering an adoption plan for their child are free.
